TALK Students in Harvard's guided campus tour

TALK Students during a Harvard’s guided campus tour

“Students get information sessions and campus tours in the afternoons at Harvard, MIT, Northeastern University, Boston University, Boston College, Fisher College and UMass Boston”, says Nicole Barone, TALK Boston School Director. She runs two University Workshops for TALK students with focus on admissions, scholarships, college life and the international student experience. Students also receive an extensive overview of TALK’s university placement program.

When students are not attending Information Sessions and Tours of campuses, their afternoon activities include outings like a Boston Harbor cruise and visits to the Museum of Science, New England Aquarium or the Prudential Center with Skywalk Observatory. Perhaps even some shopping in Downtown Crossing.

TALK Students at Northeastern University

TALK Students at Northeastern University

A member of TALK Boston’s staff will accompany students when they attend Information Sessions, Campus Tours and other activities. The Information Sessions typically provide prospective students with the opportunity to meet admission counselors, explore programs, to understand more about admission – including what makes your application competitive, learn about enrollment procedures and to ask questions.

Most universities have a student ‘ambassador’ show prospective students around the campus.  Not only do you get to see faculty buildings, recreational and sport amenities, performance centers, student residences and dorms, you learn more about the history of the institution, academics and find out more from student ambassadors about their unique student experience.
