The sun is hot, the temperatures are high and the rain comes in the afternoon. There is no doubt: Summer is back in Miami! The city is full of tourists looking for beaches, shopping malls, outlets, and enjoying that breeze that comes from the sea. This scenario is attractive to  international students coming to the United States to learn English at either of the two TALK English Schools in the greater Miami area!

Students coming to Miami can choose from two different landscapes. The first is the school in the Brickell area in downtown Miami, a financial center with its skyline dominated by impressive skyscrapers. The second, a school near South Beach and Ocean Drive, blocks away from the ocean and surrounded by glamour, trendy bars and restaurants. TALK Miami Brickell

Miami and Ibiza meet at the South Beach Boat Party, which happens on August 3^rd and brings lots of fun aboard a boat ride with DJs and incredible sights of the Miami skyline, the eccentric mansions of Star Island and unforgettable sunsets. Nothing looks more like Summer than fun at the sea!

Speaking of the sea, on September 15^th you will have the opportunity to admire Miami at night in a very different way: kayaking under the stars during the Miami Full Moon Paddleboard & Kayak Tour!

On August 29^th, the second fashion show of The Fashion Institute of South Florida takes place. Students will submit their 3-piece collections and graduates will compete for the opportunity to present an entire collection at the NYFW Designers of Latin America in New York. Among the judges’ panel, there are icons of the fashion industry. The event is one of the most cosmopolitan ones in Miami!

Other activities:

• Coconut Grove’s epic Independence Day celebration on the 4^th of July. Fireworks, rock show, picnic, games, activities for kids and the classic outdoor BBQ by local restaurants.
• New Times 2^nd Annual Burger Fest on September 4^th. Enjoy burger samples, refreshing cocktails, live entertainment, and more.
• Miami Spice 2019, from August 1^st to September 30^th. The very best of Miami’s diverse cuisine. Three-course meals featuring signature dishes by world renowned chefs at reduced prices.

 

TALK Miami Beach

Besides of lot of fun in the sun, TALK Miami Beach activities also focus on health and wellness. On July 11^th, join us to meditate during sunset at South Pointe Park. August 15^th is when you will show all your Volleyball skills at the beach. On September 18^th, we promote the second TALK Run, on Miami Beach boardwalk. And on September 11^th, the bikes will rule the boardwalk during the TALK Bike Ride. Rent a bike and join us!

On July 31^st, cool off at Flaming Park Pool while enjoying a delicious picnic. Admission costs US$10 for non-residents.

Among the activities inside the school, our potluck parties are always a huge success! Nothing like different types of food to bring people closer together, right? During the Summer, we will have Russian and Italian cuisines brightening up our parties!

• Fireworks in North Miami Beach to celebrate Independence Day on 4^th of July.
• Open Air Tango, August 28^th. Show off your skills in this typical Latin dance on  famous Lincoln Road.
• BBQ at Bill Baggs Florida State Park in Key Biscayne to celebrate Labor Day weekend.
