Nova Southeastern Community Fest

On February 14th, 2009, many TALK English Schools students were able to participate as volunteers at the Nova Southeastern University Community Festival.

The relationship with Nove South Eastern University is a long and productive one.

The US Higher Education system is recognized as the world leader, attracting the best students from around the world. It is large, complex and difficult to understand for American and foreign students alike. This is where we can help you. Student Services International, Inc. (SSII), a TALK subsidiary company will help you navigate your best pathway to obtaining an American degree and achieving academic success.

We have more than 20 partner institutions –  one of which is Nova South Eastern University in South Florida –  from which you can choose. Our partner institutions include some of the nation’s best community colleges, public universities and graduate programs.

TALK Students  attend the Nova SouthEastern CommunityFest

NSU Community Fest is an annual festival that celebrates and connects NSU students, employees, and their families in a carnival-like atmosphere around Gold Circle Lake. This year, TALK students were invited to join the Nova Southeastern Community fest.

The event was initiated and developed in 2004 by Michelle Manley, an NSU student who wanted to bring the university community together and build school spirit. While this is a student-initiated event, Nova Southeastern Community Fest is an event that involves the collaboration of NSU students, staff, and community businesses and organizations.

The day consisted of live entertainment, food and drinks, large scale games, activity booths, paddle boats on the lake, and much more. Best of all, our TALK students got the chance to interact with the NSU family and enjoy the multicultural exchange.

Thank you very much to our volunteers this year who helped make the Nova Southeastern Community Fest a great success: Maria Emilia, Christina, Yasser, Abdoul-Mohsen and Shenya.
