Isabel Ribeiro is an international student success story! Isabel is from Brazil and is currently learning English at TALK Aventura.  Isabel loves to attend her classes as TALK, and she looks forward to school every day.  Having achieved level 9, she is thrilled with the huge strides she has made with her English skills. Isabel loves the mix of international students at the school: “I have met new people from so many different countries here.”  TALK Aventura is in the heart of the very cosmopolitan city of Aventura in North Miami.  Greater Miami is today one of the most culturally diverse cities in the nation. In the past few decades, the city has transformed from a predominantly American-born population at its incorporation in the 80’s to a population dominated by nationalities from such diverse countries as Colombia, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Germany, Italy and Venezuela – just to name a few!  All this makes is that much easier for our international students to feel part of the mix…

For Isabel, the school has become more that a language school to here – “It’s also kind of your family that becomes part of your life.”  She is very happy that she chose to come to TALK Aventura. What every international student hopes to take away from their study abroad experience is positive memories and academic success, and Isabel feels she has achieved both at TALK Aventura, and then some! From new friends to great teachers and a supportive staff, the warm atmosphere, although she’s a long way from her home in Brazil, the distance is made so much easier because Isabel says “TALK is my home away from home!”
