Thankful Pumpkin Tradition
With Thanksgiving around the corner there are many things to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the people in our lives and the abundance of good fortune that we have to hold against our hearts. Thanksgiving isn’t about presents, it’s not about a mythical figure, and it’s not about the decorations, instead it’s about celebrating together, it’s about family, and it’s about food. Although it’s about coming together, sometimes it can be hard not to get caught up in the thrill of things. This is where we need to focus on counting our blessings, and to do that there is a simple way for any family to start a tradition called the Thankful Pumpkin Tradition.
To start your Thankful Pumpkin Tradition all you need is a permanent marker, a pumpkin, and a grateful heart. The idea of this tradition is to sit down with your family and make a list of the things that you are thankful for. When this is done you then take the permanent marker and starting at the top of the pumpkin, write down all the things you are thankful for while turning the pumpkin around. If you have special friends in your life you can also ask them to write down what they are thankful for to make your Thanksgiving that extra bit special. Depending on the size of your list and pumpkin, you may find sometimes you will run out of room, no problems, all you have to do is get another pumpkin!
This tradition is perfect for those looking to recognize everything they are thankful for, and is a great Thanksgiving tradition that can be handed down for the generations to come.
